[edit]Japanese Association of Independent Television Stations says that analog transmission ends in 2011. Has a new name been adopted in Japan? We can just leave this question here for the rest of the year in case an answer appears. -- SEWilco (talk) 21:10, 3 February 2011 (UTC)
- I think no one knows a substitute for the "UHF anime" in the future; All television stations, including NHK, Nippon Television, TBS, Fuji Television, TV Asahi, TV Tokyo and so on, televise programs on UHF for terrestrial digital broadcasting in Japan. However Janapese independent television stations has been called "独立UHF局"[1], "独立UHF放送局"[2][3] and so on, and animes aired by "独立U局" are called "UHFアニメ" in Japan at present.--Mujaki (talk) 16:23, 17 March 2011 (UTC)
